Zulhijja (Last Islamic month) is like December in Georgian calendar. On 10th of Zulhijja Muslims from all over the world celebrate Eid. This Eid is called Eid-al-Adha. The Eid we celebrate after Ramadan is called Eid-al-Fitr.

So on this Eid i.e. Eid-al-Adha we sacrifice goats/sheep/calf/camel etc depending on what one can afford and distribute the meat among poor, relatives and family.This is in accordance with Prophet Abraham’s tradition where he was commanded by God to sacrifice his only son, Ismael who was later replaced with a goat.
