Zahra Shahid Hussain, senior vice-president of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf was shot dead Saturday night outside her residence in Karachi.
Zahra, 60 was ambushed by unidentified men. According to eye witness she handed over her belongings to the attackers but they opened bullets on her. She was rushed to a private hospital but succumbed to her injuries on the way . According to sources in the private hospital, the leader was shot twice in the head.
PTI chief Imran Khan, on his twitter blamed Altaf Hussain for the murder of Zahra. “I hold Altaf Hussain directly responsible…as he had openly threatened PTI workers.” Khan also held British government responsible as he said that he had informed about the warnings beforehand.
Zahra Hussain’s murder took place on the eve of re-election in NA-250 Karachi.
